Învârtita (Turned dance)  / Romania, Sibiu, 2024 

The film shows a traditional Romanian dance performed by the members of the Lads Group from Rucăr, Brașov County. Învârtita or Șchioapa (turned dance) is danced in pairs. The structural elements of the dance are varied. They appear both in the rhythm and execution technique of the steps and movements. This dance is performed in a particular way by the Lads Group, where the skipped step appears after the sequence of three steps and after that of two steps. When the direction of movement changes, it is performed after same the two sequences. The basic steps can be learned and practiced by the general audience.
