Dance and dancing as living heritage in Greece  

Traditional dance and dance practices remain vibrant in Greece. Throughout the country, from urban centers to rural communities, and even among the Greek diaspora, people are dancing! The film showcases representative examples of presentational, festive, ritual, educational, ceremonial, and improvisational dance events that occur in Athens [Attica, Central Greece], Thrace [Northeast Greece], and Kythnos (Thermia) in the Cyclades [Central Aegean]. These events function as vital spaces for social interaction, communication, and expression.
